Websites/blogs

I was wondering which of you have blogs/websites. If you have one/any, could you post the URLs? (Or, if that would be unacceptable for some reason, could you tell me at church?) I am interested for two reasons: first, to get to know you all better, and second, because my writing assignment for the next few weeks is to create my own website. Therefore, those of you with experience with "actual websites" (not blogs), could you pass on any helpful tips? Thanks!
(Chelsey, is this post outside of the parameters of this blog?)

Emily, did you have to pay for your website? If not, how did you get it for free? Did you have to register your domain name, or register with Google so that it would be aware you were there? (Sorry for all the questions, but these are some of the things I've been reading about). Has anyone actually searched "hedgehogs" and come to your site (as far as you know)?... Any hints for an aspiring website builder? :-)
(Once again, sorry for all the questions impolitely stacked on top of one another. This is also for anyone else who may have a website).

I think Emily started with a free host, then recently bought a domain. That's the best way to do it. Also, you won't be able to find a website through Google without - well it's really complicated, haha. You'll just have to do a lot of reading about HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, and anything related to that.

I got my site on freewebs.com

it was totally free. Then, I payed $20 to buy the domain for a year. Anyhow, yes, people have found me via google. You have to register your site with google though(I think) if you want them to put it in searches.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!

I'm sorry who's asking? lol
It may just be that you have a really dark monitor. Although my page is pretty dark, it shouldn't burn you eyes...

I'm a little late on this, so I don't know if this will be useful to you or not.

I have two blogs. The first is my personal blog and the second is the team blog I'm a part of.
www.elisabethsmusings.blogspot.com
www.rebelutionaries.blogspot.com

I use sitemeter to monitor how many visitors I have to my blog and how people reach my blog and it's really useful. Lots and lots of people have reached my blog through google searches. In case you're interested: www.sitemeter.com
