Monday, July 6, 2009's it going?

I haven't had an accountability post in a while. How are you all doing? What have your struggles been recently? How can we be holding you accountable and praying for you? I'd particularlly like to hear from my past regulars: Mark, Melly, Cara and Kasey(aka Mee). I'd also like to hear from a few of you who I think read, but don't post very often...this may include: Wesley, Hannah and Morgan. :)

Love you all!

Well, my struggles would be laziness and patience. As far as accountability, I think instead of just saying "I'll be praying for you" (which is still good), we should be offering scriptures and Biblical advice on how to attack the week's struggles. Anyone with me?

I'm with you! I will try to think of some helpful verses and post them sometime. But truthfully, I won't have any spare time this week to do that. I'd welcome you to though!

Yeah, I was thinking about that a bit too in relation to greetings. You know how we always say "hi, how are you?" "Good, how are you?" "Good" and then we can get on to our conversation. I was thinking, instead of skipping greetings altogether, we could "redeem" them. For instance, if I saw one of you, you could ask me, "How are you?" and I could say, "Well, I had a pretty quiet week. I had a bit of trouble with wasting time, but I did manage to get some important things done. I'm sort of worried about a friend of mine. I'm afraid she's changing her values. Could you pray for her? And how are you?" Then we could offer Biblical encouragement in person and perhaps pray together, too.
Great idea, mee, by the way!

Thanks, Cara. I like your idea, too.
